Phosphorous

To evaluate the level of phosphorus in the blood, and to aid in the diagnosis of conditions known to cause abnormally high or low levels. It is used as a follow-up to an abnormal calcium level, kidney disorder, uncontrolled diabetes, or taking calcium or phosphate supplements.

Test Requirements

A fasting blood sample is needed.

Preparation for Your Test

Do no eat or drink anything but water 12 hours prior to your test.
Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.

Cost

The cost of this test is $10.00.
