Gamma-glutamyltransferase is an enzyme that transfers gamma-glutamyl functional groups. It is found in many tissues, the most notable one being the liver, and has significance in medicine as a diagnostic marker.

Test Requirements

A fasting blood sample is needed.

Preparation for Your Test

Do not eat or drink anything but water for 8 hours prior to your testing.

Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.

The cost of this test is $10.00.
