The Ferritin test is ordered to assess a person's iron stores in the body. The test may be ordered along with a Total Iron Binding Capacity (calculated) in order to calculate an iron deficiency or overload.

Test Requirements

Blood sample.

Preparation for Your Test

Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.

The cost of this test is $25.00.
